The Above-the-Counter System is a hearing loop system that consists of a microphone and an amplifier / transmitter attached to a desk or small area. The amplifier transmits the speaker's voice or audio feed using a short range signal that can be picked up by a telecoil enabled hearing aid, cochlear implant (CI) processors and specialized hand‐held hearing loop receivers for individuals without telecoil compatible hearing aids. Unlike other counter loop systems, the audio loop is not installed under the counter or desk but in the structure of the Braille Hearing Loop sign. This remarkable technology enables the audio loop/sign to be attached to display glass, walls, counter tops or flexible portable stand. Recommended Applications:

The audio loop is discreetly installed under the counter or desk and can be bent to shape, allowing it to be tailored to many different counters. * CTC Systems are typically not compliant to building code D3.7 as they do not meet coverage requirements.
